I bought two of these cups for a campout with my son. However, if you look at the bottom of the unit, there is a tiny sticker, indicating that “this product contains lead ” – due to California’s requirements to disclose substances like this.
For the lead reason alone, I’d recommend some other cup, preferably one not made in China .. and if it’s not disclosed where it was made ? Dont buy it.
This is a Texsport issue, not the seller.

Bought this from a big box sporting goods vendor – it’s true there’s a sticker that it contains lead. I’ll be returning it.
The formula for stainless steel does not contain lead (18/8 stainless steel is 18% chromium and 8% nickel while 18/10 has 10% nickel).
Don’t even think about buying this. You do not want to drink traces of lead.

yep, i too bought this cup and quickly returned it because it contains lead and can cause cancer. i know when i drink from a cup i like to NOT get cancer and die….thank you made in china garbage!!!!
